We are Eastern Meadows Church of Christ, a humble but powerful group of people serving the Lord and others in east Montgomery. We give our name to Christ and a living body that smashes through time and comprehension. He is the life in which each of us can live peacefully and unafraid. He is the Way in which we walk. He is the only Truth that we know has ever existed, and through which his people are granted ultimate happiness, justice, and immortality. On May 4, 1924, a group of Christians met under a tent off of Lower Wetumpka Road in Montgomery Alabama. This was the initial worship service of our congregation. Most of those meeting that day had migrated to Alabama from Tennessee a few years earlier. In the summer of 1986, the congregation renamed itself the Eastern Meadows Church of Christ. We worship Him as a living, breathing, unified body of servants, commemorating that first day of the week when death was enslaved and life broke through this world to reign forever.
